A safe place to be still, to trust again, and to rise.
Risen Ranch pairs gentle, well-cared-for horses with faith-rooted programs — helping people find steady ground again on wide-open West Texas land.
Who we are
Wide-open land, a steady horse, and room to breathe again.
Risen Ranch, a non profit ministry operates on the wide-open spaces of the historic 150 year old U Ranch, where the quiet partnership between people and horses opens doors that words alone often can't reach.
We believe every person carries a God-given destiny — and sometimes healing is the first step toward it. Our work brings people alongside gentle, well-cared-for horses in a setting built for honesty, patience, and grace.
Whether you're walking through grief, raising a family, finding your footing after service, looking for a way to develop and grow your business or enhance your connection with coworkers, family or friends, Risen Ranch is a place to slow down, be present, and start moving toward what's next.
Founder/CEO
Shannon Heine
Founder & Licensed Equine Facilitator
Shannon founded Risen Ranch out of a calling to bring faith, horses, and healing together on West Texas land — creating a place where people can be still long enough to hear hope again.
Equine-assisted sessions grounded in her lifelong experience of owning, competing and loving horses along with 25+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with trauma-informed, faith-centered practice.
Shannon's facilitation draws from Touched by a Horse®'s Equine Facilitator™ training — a library of guided, ground-based experiences originally developed for families, small businesses, and larger corporate groups, adapted here within a faith-centered, trauma-informed approach.
Our Heart
“He restores my soul.”
Psalm 23:3
Risen Ranch exists to walk with people out of pain and into purpose.
We steward this land, these animals, and this work as an offering — believing restoration is possible for every life that crosses our gate.
